A New Direction for Ealing Acton & Shepherds Bush with Upcoming Parliamentary Boundary Changes

Angie Bray is the Parliamentary Candidate for the new Parliamentary constituency of Ealing Central and Acton. The UK Parliament currently operates on different constituency boundaries, which will soon change.

Angie is leader of the Conservative Group on the London Assembly and the elected Assembly member for West Central.  She has led opposition on the Assembly to the western extension of the congestion charge and has been a fierce opponent of the plans for a West London Tram.  Her other interests include economic and social development and tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.

She was the parliamentary candidate for East Ham in the 1997 General Election.

At Conservative Campaign Headquarters she worked first as the broadcasting officer in the press office and later as Press Secretary to Party Chairman, Chris Patten.

Before that Angie was a radio broadcaster, working first for British Forces Broadcasting and then for LBC Radio where she worked in a variety of roles including newsreading, reporting news, presenting and producing radio programmes.

She studied History at St. Andrews University and graduated with an MA Honours in Medieval History.  She also studied radio journalism at the London School of Printing.

Angie has lived in West London with her partner Nigel and their two dogs for many years.  Her interests outside politics include music, history, playing tennis and walking the dogs.
